kristen and steven, the sagamore resort
Kristen and Steven at the Sagamore Resort, Bolton Landing, NY
I think it’s fair to say that Kristen and Steven put more time into planning their wedding weekend than any couple I can remember. We joked that I couldn’t quite understand how they were also managing to hold down high pressure jobs in the city while doing it. No detail was left unaccounted for, including things I’d literally never heard a client bring up. But that’s a reflection of who these two are–everything matters to them, so they wanted to be sure their dream of the perfect wedding was achieved. I think they nailed it–every moment of their day was truly amazing. They even got lucky with the perfect September day.
We started our day, as usually happens, with the bride and her attendants as they prepared for the day. Kristen’s taste in everything–literally–is perfect. Dress, shoes, hairpiece, flowers…all really beautiful. Her style is sophisticated, but she was also super fun about it all, right down to the sneakers she changed into for dancing. Steven wasn’t going to be outdone, by the way–his custom made tuxedo was killer. This was one of very few weddings we did this year without a First Look. We shot Kristen and Steven separately with their attendants and families before the ceremony, and finished up the photos afterward. Joe and Patti picked us up at the dock in the Miss Boathouse, their gorgeous Hacker Craft boat. It’s always amazing to be out on the lake with the bride and groom, and we were back in time to join in the cocktail hour. Shelving Rock has rarely looked prettier, right down to the spectacular flowers and the white vinyl-wrapped dance floor. I could go on and on about this day, but I’ll finish up by wishing Kristen and Steven a lifetime of happiness–we were proud to be a part of this amazing day.
The vendor team was spot on, as well. The Sagamore Resort is spectacular in every way, and the staff (lead by Ashley and Sue) is fantastic–five stars! Kristen’s awesome hair and makeup were by our great friends at Blush 518. The gorgeous flowers were by Samantha Nass Floral Design. The killer music, sound, and lighting were down to DJ Andy Pratt…wow.
Enjoy the photos!
